The Practical Shaman, Tools for Awakening present's Working with Sacred Plant Medicine, a journey to Mexico to work with indigenous medicine keeper Maria Teresa Valenzuela in her village of Tequisquiapan, Queretaro

This will be a cross cultural experience as our group will join other local people from Mexico to celebrate in this intimate gathering for a hands on adventure studying traditional Curanderismo, Traditions of the Santo Diame Church, Traditional cermonial Lodge, herbal remedies, plant medicine and practical modern day applications for your life. In addition to Maria Teresa Valenzuela, the tour will be facilitated by Renee Baribeau, Luzia Krull and Rosario.

Our journey will begin in Mexico City. Our hotel will be located steps from City Center and a main square. The hotel Catedral has amazing views of the most characteristic buildings and churches of Mexico City’s downtown. You will need to make your travel arrangements to be in Mexico City on Wednesday the 28th and will enjoy free time to explore the city that evening. 

We will begin our work together the morning of the 29th.  As a group we will travel to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico. Then we will travel by private coach to Maria Teresa's village of Tequisquiapan, Queretaro Mexico five hours from the bustling city for four full days of teaching and experiential ceremonies. You will have the option of exploring various forms of plant medicine and herbal remedies.  We will be working at Casa Gayatri but will be staying local hotel, called The Maridelfi where our meals will be included.

Renee is an expert ceremonialist, healer, teacher, and writer. Over the past fifteen years, she has trained with a long list of traditional shamans and modern-day mystics. She has received rites of passage from Q’ero elders in Peru and a Mapuche shaman in Chile. A graduate of the Healing the Light Body two-year program with the Four Winds Society, she studied directly with Jose Luis Herrera. She has also received the healer’s blessing from Swami Kaleshwar.
